02/06/2016#0183;#32;Well, it IS a DRILL press. But you can always misuse those bearings and go ead and do it. If you only do a few milling jobs on it, there will PROBABLY be little or no damage. BUT, I think safety issues are a bigger concern. A typical drill press spindle has a Morse taper to hold the chuck and there is no drawbar to hold it in place.
